18/05/2017

The deadline already passed!

As part of the BCC Webinars, we invite you to the webinar entitled “Prepare for GDPR right now – new regulations on the protection of personal data!".

On May 4, 2016, the official texts of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Regulation will be directly applicable as of May 25, 2018, while the Directive will be implemented and the relevant national laws will be issued by the Member States by May 6, 2018.

GDPR means a significant change in the context of the segregation of employee duties and HR solutions. Currently, there is no obligation to appoint an Information Security Administrator (Polish abbreviation: ABI), but this is changed by the EU regulation. Simultaneously, the name of the position is changed – ABI becomes a Data Protection Supervisor (DPS) in May, 2018.

The webinar will cover the practical aspects of the European regulation on the protection of personal data.

During the webinar, we will discuss the following topics:

  • GDPR 2018 – find out what awaits you
  • Key changes introduced by GDPR
  • How to implement the culture of personal data protection in the organization?
  • A framework of the project of migration to GDPR

To enforce the compliance with the provisions, data protection commissioners (in Poland – GIODO) will be able to impose strict penalties on entities committing violations. Administrative penalties can amount up to EUR 20,000,000, or – in the case of entrepreneurs – up to 4% of the total annual turnover from the previous financial year.

The webinar will begin on May 18 at 2.00 p.m. and will take approx. 20 minutes. We kindly invite you to sign up for this webinar.
