Payroll Auditor is an extension to the SAP HR system or SuccessFactors which helps identify deviations on the payroll based on control filters defined by the user.The end result is a report showing a list of “doubtful” cases.
Irrespective of the size of the organisation and the reliability of payroll systems, errors on the payroll do happen and the consequences of errors affect both the employer and the employees. Too high or too low amounts transferred to employees’ bank accounts lead to frustration and sometimes to irreversible consequences (loss of employee, financial losses).
In order to prevent such situations, All for One Poland has developed a support tool – Payroll Auditor – for employees responsible for the correct calculation of payroll components. Based on the list of “doubtful” cases shown in the report, the payroll specialist has a possibility to verify them and correct any mistakes.
Control filters
Pre-defined control filters work independently, it is possible to create any number of such filters. The user can record selection criteria and a control filter as a report option. Employees whose payroll settlement results do not meet the requirements of the pre-defined control are highlighted on the results list in the report. Thanks to the possibility to run the application in the background as well as send the report results to a specified e-mail address only with the negative results of a control, the time required to analyse the discrepancies is limited to minimum.
The basic control feature is based on setting a minimum and a maximum value which can occur for a given group of employees for particular remuneration components.
The analysis of averages is based on calculating average values of payroll components already settled over a period of several months indicated by the user. The average value is compared with the current value.The outcome of the control is negative if discrepancies are bigger than the specified percentage.
Flexible configuration
The report criteria can specify whether the control will be carried out for the entire payroll or just for a selected group of employees. Thanks to the flexible configuration, the Payroll Auditor can also be used as a detailed payroll settlement results report. In addition to basic employee data the report also provides information on the salary scales, details of payroll settlement and remuneration components.
The Payroll Auditor is ready-to-deploy – it only requires the import of a file transport request to the SAP HR system or SuccessFactors. After defining the control filters the tool is ready to be used.
