Żabka Polska SA, one of the biggest retail chains in Poland, has signed with BCC a contract for the upgrade of a developed SAP installation to the latest Enterprise Central Component 6.0 version, which is available only since May 2006.
Starting the works related to the upgrade is scheduled for July 2006. They will be carried out by BCC consultants with the employees of the IT department in Żabka. Now Żabka uses SAP system in 4.6B version. The scale of the project is huge – it will cover 142 users and the data base is currently 3 TB.
The functional scope of the project is the following: FI – financial accounting, AA – fixed assets accountancy, CO – controlling, TR – Treasury, MM – materials management, SD – sales and distribution and SAP Retail industry solution.
Maciej Kląskała, IT director in Żabka Polska, said: "Żabka as a company is based on innovative methods of operation and our outlets are modern and connected by a vast IT net. We boldly enter the complex project, which is the upgrade to the latest SAP version available in the market. This will enable us to use new functionalities, which were impossible to use before. We have decided to work with BCC because of their wide experience in supporting upgrades of large SAP installations”.
