We talk to Alexander Herfort, Director Business Development at United VARs, about the most important goals of the organization.
What are the key benefits for organizations participating in the United VARs Program?
The key benefits for organizations to join United VARs is clearly the opportunity to serve their customers all over the world. This is in terms of legal requirements, language and also cultural challenges. Beside that very important point towards the customers, the members of United VARs exchange their experience and help each other in all SAP product related issues. We also do get access to the top global experts at SAP to receive early information about the products like roadmaps and strategic directions and guidance. Finally, SAP really appreciates our feedback as we deal on a daily basis with customers using SAP Software in their business processes.
Let’s make a concrete example: We’ve established various Centres of Excellence as project groups including the leading members for SAP products like S/4HANA, ByD, CX, SuccessFactors or BTP. In these groups only the best members exchange their practice and help each other on all the challenges selling and implementing end-to-end solutions. All for One by the way is part of all Centres of Excellence.
In December 2021, All for One Poland joined the international network United VARs.
What are the characteristic features of client companies that United VARs is targeting? Of course, apart from that they already use or plan to use SAP solutions.
The common characteristic of the United VARs Member’s customers is that that it is very important for them to be served by organizations and consultants who understand their culture and business environment in which they operate. Our customers are mainly active in the manufacturing, professional service or life science industry.
Also the mandate of our customers is everywhere in the world the same: Our customers want to have solutions for their business process challenges and finally an improvement of the outcome from an economic perspective. It is primarily not about products or features and functions but about improving the daily challenges utilizing IT.
We have talked about the benefits for partners. And what can customers gain from cooperation within United VARs?
As I mentioned already, our customers can be sure, that all legal requirements all over the world will be solved by the top consultants of the individual country. Besides that, the customers can be sure, that the local consultant speaks the local language and also understands the local culture and business habits and practices. This is crucial not only for the result but also for the acceptance of a system or process. As a helpful side effect, the local consultants are always in the right time zone, as they work and live in that country.
As United VARs covers in total countries, which are responsible for more than 95% of the worldwide gross domestic product (GDP), our Customers can be sure, that UVARs is there, where they are operationally active – even if a geography will be relevant in 5 years by an acquisition or foundation of a new subsidiary.
