Sitech, a Polkowice-based producer of car seats, uses SAP solutions in supply, production planning and plant maintenance.
Sitech sp. z o.o., a plant owned by Volkswagen concern, has already been using SAP system in finance and controlling, including a BCC-implemented solution for managing costs of preparing new products.
‘We decided to develop SAP system in Sitech because we are satisfied with the possibilities which SAP platform has been giving us so far. The functionalities implemented before allow us to plan, draw budgets and monitor expenditure related to new products. Now we have extended SAP advantages into operational activities. The implementation of new SAP modules covered departments indirectly connected to production, like plant maintenance’, said Jagoda Damrath, finance director in Sitech.
In 2004 BCC started in Sitech the SAP solutions in materials management (MM), a pilot module of production planning (PP) and implemented a module of plant maintenance (PM).
The project in Sitech is a next stage of BCC cooperation with Volkswagen units in Poland. The SAP implementation carried out by BCC in 1996-1997 in Poznań unit of Volkswagen was one of the first SAP implementations in Poland. Next years BCC implemented there a SAP solution in trip management (the first such project in Poland). Among other works, BCC carried out the implementation of innovative functionalities of SAP e-banking for Volkswagen Motor in Polkowice and an upgrade of SAP in Volkswagen Elektro-Systemy plant in Gorzów.
