ERP solutions are still a great source of innovation in management. It was proved in the presentations made by BCC clients at the ERP congress.
The conference, organized by SAP Polska (and co-organized by BCC) on 18-19 October, was titled: ‘Improving efficiency and goodwill on the basis of management support systems’. The ERP congress hosted managers of almost 200 companies, both those already using SAP solutions and those seeking ways to improve management efficiency.
The aim of the event was to exchange experience in using ERP in company management. The most interesting presentations focused on very practical aspects of ERP implementations. Among BCC clients that shared their experience were representatives of Opoczno S.A., a leader in tiles market in Poland, and Mechanical Equipment Plant Kamax SA, a manufacturer of buffers for railway cars, the biggest in our part of Europe.
Waldemar Skwara, a board member and finance director in Opoczno SA, together with Piotr Brzoskowski, SAP project manager for BCC, presented the topic ‘ERP system as an investment into company’s development’. In Opoczno SA the implementation of an ERP system was considered to be one of the most important sources of enforcing its competitive edge.
By using SAP Opoczno SA has not only increased its operational efficiency, but also got an access to data which are a basis for taking right strategic decisions. In his presentation Waldemar Skwara talked a lot about this matter, presenting advantages of implementing a new planning model on the level of all the company. The model is supported by SAP SEM-BPS solution (strategic planning and simulation in SAP).
At the ERP congress Opoczno SA received an award for an implementation of innovative Business Intelligence solutions, carried out with BCC. These include a data warehouse SAP BW and SAP SEM-BPS.
Witold Rymarz, IT director in Kamax, with Andrzej Jańczuk, a project manager for BCC, presented the topic ‘How to prepare a middle-sized company as best as possible to implement world-wide practices in ERP area?’.
The congress participants learned how Kamax, as a developing company, grew to the decision about the necessity of implementing ERP system. Witold Rymarz described what the process of preparing the implementation looked like in Kamax and the grounds for choosing a system and an implementation company. He also presented the reasons for which Kamax decided to use a preconfigured solution SPRINT Industrial Production in the implementation of mySAP ERP, which is now being carried out by BCC.
