Volkswagen Motor Polska, engine manufacturer from Polkowice, has improved circulation of documents with the suppliers and the bank through implementation of EDI solutions, integrated with SAP R/3 system. The implementation was conducted by BCC.
BCC has activated in Volkswagen Motor an electronic payment program, belonging to TR functionality of SAP R/3 system. To improve the circulation of payment related documents in VW Motor, the EDI solutions (Electronic Data Interchange), based on SAP Business Connector (SAP BC) technology, have been implemented. The program automatically generates electronic payment advise documents, which transformed into PDF files are then sent via e-mail as attachments to concerned suppliers and to the bank. Consequently, a major improvement in communication with the bank and suppliers has been achieved. The number or paper documents has decreased and moreover the labour – consuming activities connected with preparation and delivery of documents have been greatly reduced. The implemented system enables coding and electronic signature usage in transmitted documents.
Volkswagen Motor Polska sp. z o.o. – one of the largest motorization investments in Poland – is a direct injection diesel engines factory. The factory is located in Polkowice, on the grounds of legnicka special economic zone.
