Corporate SAP solutions for finance and controlling took off at Wirthwein AG’s subsidiary located in North Carolina.
Carolina Technical Plastics (CTP) is one of 16 subsidiaries of Wirthwein AG’s – an innovative manufacturer of plastic parts and components with the headquarters in Creglingen, Germany. The project completed in August this year covered the rollout of SAP solutions in the area of financial accounting, fixed assets and controlling.
“Allowing for the USA’s and in particular North Carolina’s legal requirements, including the requirements for taxes, represented one of the challenges on this project. Another inconvenience was the fact that the system had already been in operation at CTP for logistics and production, and so the FI had to be swimmingly added to the existing processes”, says Beata Niemiec-Siwek, the project manager with BCC.
“Owing to both BCC’s professional attitude and the commitment of the entire German-Polish-American project team, the operation went very smoothly. I think that the SAP implementation over in Carolina Technical Plastics is a great example of successful collaboration in a mixed multinational environment”, said Melanie Hojsak, SAP Project Manager with Wirthwein AG.
