The merger of two world’s potentates of pharmaceutical industry, Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham, resulted in preparing a merger of two ERP systems of their Polish units. BCC is managing the project.
So far Glaxo Wellcome has used SAP R/3 system, while SmithKline Beecham has had another ERP system. SAP R/3 system has been chosen as a corporate solution for the company which is being created as a result of the merger of those two giants.
Last November preparation of SAP R/3 system for the Polish unit of GlaxoSmithKline started. In the first stage of the project the implementation scope will be defined in detail. Employees of different implementation companies with project manager from BCC will take part in the project.
