BCC is working together with EDI Group, operating within the ECR Club (Effective Consumer Service Club). The Club acts at the Logistics and Warehousing Institute in Poznan, serving as a national branch of EAN International (an organisation responsible for the international standards for identification of goods, shipments, resources, localisation and services, among others also for the bar codes).
EDI Group is focused on co-ordinating and standardising the form of EDI messages passed between the suppliers and the commercial networks in commercial transactions. The participants of the process are the commercial networks, their suppliers and the leading EDI solutions providers. The first standards for electronic messages have already been agreed upon and are used by all the members of the Group.
Within the scope of its developmental works, BCC is mainly focused on designing EDI solutions intended for SAP operating companies, which are quite common among the commercial network suppliers.
The EDI integrating platform, implemented by BCC in SAP operating companies, enables quick and smooth activation of EDI with partners operating on various standards of message interchange, also including the standards which are currently being worked out by EDI Group.
