Starting from the 1st of June 2003, an e-Business Team was established within the IT Department of BCC. The Team consists of consultants involved in e-Business projects realized by BCC for the Clients using SAP systems.
The Team, managed by Grzegorz Malewski as a Team Leader, consists of the consultants having many-year experience in implementation of e-Business solutions. The following certificates possessed by members of the e-Business Team are a confirmation for their competences: webMethods Certified Business Partner Integration Developer, SAP Certified Technical Consultant (Basis), and SAP Certified ABAP Consultant.
The consultants of the BCC’s e-Business Team specialize in a realization of services and training connected with SAP products included in the NetWeaver group: SAP Business Connector (integration of SAP systems with other systems, EDI projects with business partners), SAP Exchange Infrastructure (integration of SAP systems), SAP Enterprise Portal (internet portals, applications for data access in a portal). Competences of the Team include also elaboration of solutions of mobile access to SAP (BIP – Business in PDA) as well as application of Java language for elaboration of independent and supportive solutions for integration platforms and SAP systems.
BCC has got the biggest experience in projects using the SAP Business Connector / EDI / ALE technologies in Poland. The following BCC’s projects in this field shall be mentioned first of all: project of integration platform EDI based on SAP Business Connector (for Sanitec Koło, Elite Cafe, Pfeifer & Langen, Volkswagen Motor), integration of SAP system with external systems on the SAP Business Connector platform (Polkomtel), applications WebEDI (Sanitec Koło, Amica).
The BCC’s e-Business Team takes part in works of the ECR Club (Efficient Consumer Response) at the Logistics and Storage Institute of Poznań. The EDI Group of the ECR Club agrees and unifies standards of messages for the Polish market and supports development of EDI market in Poland. Messages’ formats agreed within the Group are applied in a communication with external partners, first of all by trade chains such as: MAKRO CASH & CARRY, GEANT Poland, AHOLD Poland, as well as manufacturers such as: Procter & Gamble, HENKEL Poland, CADBURY WEDEL.
