On the 10th of August of the current year BCC has started up a second data processing center. Our server room is located in a place physically remote from the first site. Now, our clients are using the doubled, doubly secure infrastructure of the BCC Data Centers.
“I consider the geographical dispersion of the BCC Data Centers infrastructure as a unique value in the sector of IT Outsourcing in Poland, whereas for our clients – it's a double insurance policy" – said Waldemar Sokołowski, Director of IT Services at BCC.
The construction and equipping of the new center lasted over 10 months. It resulted in a doubled technical infrastructure equipped with redundant powering systems and full network redundancy, a few independent Internet connections, fire prevention systems and other physical safety systems. Since the 10th of August BCC clients’ systems have been using the new infrastructure.
The expansion of the BCC Data Centers and adding a second location is the next stage of an investment program aimed at improving the company's potential in terms of IT outsourcing services.
"Although we have been expanding our outsourcing offer since 1999, we come from the world of solutions for business – systems which support the management of companies. Firstly, it means focusing on the clients' business needs and not on the technology. Secondly, it is our individualized approach to every customer – in the area of IT outsourcing as well. Although all our clients use the same infrastructure of the data center, in over 100 contracts no two are alike. " – adds Waldemar Sokołowski.
Based on its own infrastructure, BCC renders companies’ advanced IT outsourcing services, including managed hosting, IT collocation, a back-up center for data processing, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) as well as IT administration, systems' and networks' monitoring and other services. The foundations for the quality of the BCC services, apart from the team’s experience and the technical infrastructure, are work standards which have arisen from – among others – the IT Services Management System compliant with ISO 20000 standard and ITIL and the ISMC information security management system which is compliant with ISO 27001.
