The 5th Jubilee Congress of SAP took place on the 19th and 20th of March, 2001. The event under the headline of "New new economy – why the world remains interested in e-business?" gathered more than 700 participants in Marriott Hotel in Warsaw.
The annual congress of SAP is the biggest meeting of management cadres in Poland. In the course of two days of lectures the participants listened to presentations delivered by many practical businessmen and renowned authorities on economy and management, like Dr Peter Cochrane, the former head of the Research Department of British Telecommunications, a leading international expert on new technologies.
The participants also had an opportunity to acquaint themselves with experience from implementation of R/3 SPRINT, a preconfigured system of SAP R/3 for medium size companies, in Elite Cafe. The course and benefits from implementation of R/3 SPRINT, concluded this January, were presented by Mr. Jacek Guner, Director of Elite coffee-roasting plant and Mr. Robert Dachtera, the manager of the project on behalf of BCC.
