SAP solutions will support the management of the restaurant networks in Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia and Hungary. BCC is AmRest 's strategic partner in this venture.
AmRest is expanding dynamically, acquiring and developing restaurant networks in CEE countries. Corporate development is increasing the demand for effective IT solutions with particular stress placed on financial data reporting.
The project, initiated at the beginning of November, includes SAP solutions in the areas of finance, controlling, sales, HR and payroll, and utilises the Business Intelligence system to enable managerial data reporting based on the SAP BW data warehouse. The SAP system will replace the JDEdwards solutions thus far in use by the company. SAP will be integrated with the POS (Point of Sale) application supporting logistics and sales processes. SAP integration with POS will be based on SAP XI technology from the SAP NetWeaver platform.
SAP implementation applies to AmRest companies in three countries: American Restaurants sp. z o.o. in Poland, American Restaurants s.r.o. in the Czech Republic and American Restaurants Kft in Hungary. According to the plans, Polish users will commence work with the new system in April while the Czech and Hungarian users will do so in May 2008. The target system also covers other countries in which AmRest is present.
“We searched for an implementation partner who would guarantee an expert level of knowledge of SAP solutions, as well as in the complex area of integration with various IT systems. Moreover, we expect experience and competence in the implementation of international SAP projects. Hence the nomination of BCC”, says Przemysław Poppe, IT Director at AmRest.
“Business & IT ventures such as the implementations of ERP systems are more and more frequently carried out on an international scale. A project engaging individuals from several countries entails additional challenges that only experienced implementation partners can overcome. AmRest is another company that decided to take advantage of BCC's competencies in this area”, adds Piotr Płóciennik, BCC Sales & Marketing Director.
