BCC has prepared a proprietary solution for full control of WIP batches for the company Von Roll – a Swiss manufacturer of products and systems for the generation, transmission and distribution of energy.
Due to the high requirements related to the control of production costs and consumption of the strategic raw material which is copper, Von Roll records the flow of materials during production with high accuracy.
In connection with the ongoing project of implementation and rollouts of the SAP ERP system to subsequent plants, the company decided to use the WIP batches functionality available in the SAP standard.
At Von Roll, this functionality was used in the production of copper wire. However, due to the specific nature of the processes in this area, major modifications to the system standard were necessary. Based on the requirements of Von Roll, BCC consultants developed a proprietary solution enabling full control of WIP batches, according to the customer’s needs.
