7milowy from the BCC Group, a company specializing in SAP projects in the SME market, has signed a contract with Balticon S.A., a logistics company. The work includes the implementation of the B2B system based on SAP Business One, an ERP system, including industry-specific extensions.
The business objective of the project is to automate the processes of Balticon S.A. collaboration with foreign partners. The system is scheduled to go live in April 2015.
"Polish terminals are being modernized, and in terms of the quality of services offered, they are becoming more and more similar to the Western European competition. By investing in the B2B and SAP system, we will provide more efficient service to our customers and we will increase the volume of handled containers. This is another step towards strengthening our leadership position in the market of container services," says Tomasz Szmid, CEO at Balticon S.A. "We wanted to minimize the risk in the project, so we chose a company that had implemented already such projects with success. 7milowy competencies in SAP Business One implementations and building B2B solutions convinced us to cooperate with that company".
The work is focused on designing and implementing a Web-based B2B solution for customers of Balticon S.A. The application will be the SAP Business One system extension developed by 7milowy – it will consist of the depot module (technical maintenance, storage and repair of containers) and transport module (support for container transport services). In addition, the ERP system will be implemented in the area of finance, purchasing, sales and distribution, customer service and CRM. The system will be used by more than 50 employees of Balticon S.A.
