Since 1 January 2005 in BCC a separate outsourcing services department has been operating. It serves as a service unit supporting BCC clients and is responsible for development of the company’s outsourcing services.
The department comprises of an application service team (consultants specialising in particular functional areas and SAP solutions) and an IT consultants team (specialising in SAP technology, data bases and hardware-software platforms of SAP systems). It provides a full range of outsourcing services, from remote support in SAP administration through outsourcing SAP administration and SAP application support to full outsourcing, including hardware SAP platform.
Waldemar Sokołowski, the department director, says: ‘The department of outsourcing services carries out two basic tasks: it makes SAP solutions more accessible to clients who want to invest into SAP, whereas for those who already use SAP it provides a strong competence centre which efficiently solves the most dofficult problems with using SAP system. While creating the competence centre we had one aim in mind: to help the clients find the answers to their questions. A client obtains a guarantee that the consultants specialising in a particular solution will be available to him. If necessary, also specialists in other areas are assigned to the task of solving the problem. And everything with the assumption of a single contact point of a client with BCC’.
The clients have been using BCC outsourcing services since 1999. Now the BCC servicing organization supports 12 clients, like Elite Cafe, Mokate, Nordzucker, Orkla Press, Polish Professional Publishers, Sanitec Koło, Zachem Chemical Plants, ZEC Bydgoszcz. Every agreement defines a different scope of outsourcing services, adjusted to the client’s needs.
In May 2004 BCC service unit was granted a CC (Competence Center) certificate by SAP Competence Center. The certificate was granted by SAP Polska after a detailed audit of competence and procedures of BCC service department. Thanks to that the clients that have bought or will buy SAP licenses from BCC and have concluded outsourcing agreement with BCC may use BCC service consutants as middlemen in their contact with SAP global service organization. This means a better use of the knowledge of SAP global service organization. By joining the knowledge of the client’s system with long-standing experience and an access to SAP service, BCC consultants may quickly suggest a client the best solution to its problem.
