Within the Backup & Recovery as a Service offer, All for One Poland delivers, as part of the subscription fee, services (backup system, replication, readiness for recovery in the data center) and benefits (data and system security, business continuity), which traditionally would require the enterprise to make large investments in IT infrastructure.
We provide our customers with a complete solution, consisting of an effective backup system, replication service and the readiness for running IT systems in the All for One Data Centers.
The combination of these elements allows for the highest level of data security at much lower investment costs (lower entry barrier, subscription fee) than if the customer created a backup system on their own.
Backup & Recovery as a Service uses the EMC DataDomain technology and the EMC NetWorker software.
The key feature of these solutions is the use of a deduplication algorithm that allows for the minimization of:
- Disk space for storage of backups
- Backup duration
- Required bandwidth of the network used for backup (which allows you to use WAN and Internet connections)
CENTRAL BACKUP SYSTEMS
All for One Poland implements projects of construction and development of central backup systems based on reliable disk-to-disk (D2D) technologies. This allows increasing the level of data and system security while reducing the cost of the IT infrastructure.
With the increase in the number and size of business processes supported by IT departments, it becomes obvious there is a need for a centralized backup system for systems that support these processes. A few years ago it was standard to perform all backups on tapes, which entailed a number of disadvantages: continuous investment in the tape library, problems associated with the storage of tapes, the risk of losing data (unreliability of tapes). Globally, it is an expensive solution to maintain, both from the standpoint of finances and the efficiency of the data recovery process.
Therefore, All for One offers its customers proven disk-to-disk solutions. The benefits of implementing the backup system based on the D2D technology include:
- sharp increase in data storage security
- shortened time of creating backups
- reduced time of reading the data from backups
- reduced space taken up by a backup
- safety – the coherence of data after it is stored on a disc
- monitoring and detection of problems; auto-repairs
- elimination of unreliable and nondurable tapes
An excellent solution offered by All for One is the central backup system based on EMC technologies.
The disc data backup solution comprises EMV Data Domain equipment and EMC Networker software. The technology utilizes an algorithm of deduplication, which means that only non-duplicated data is stored. Thanks to this the space needed to store the backup data is smaller. EMC Data Domain supports various operating systems, databases, virtual environments and mass storages, which means that it is an ideal solution for heterogenic IT environments also.
For clients who are interested in ceding the responsibility for a backup copy system, we offer Backup & Recovery as a Service.
