BCC signed a contract for the supply and implementation of the SAP ERP system in Aquanet SA – one of the biggest water supply companies in Poland.
The project, initiated in the middle of July, consists in supply of a license and implementation of a SAP solution with reference to finance, controlling and materials management. The SAP ERP system will be integrated with other applications of Aquanet, including Lotus Notes and a transport planning system. A productive start of SAP ERP is planned for January 2009.
One of the goals of the project is to create conditions for optimization of operating costs of Aquanet. Michał Fornal, Director of Financial Department of Aquanet, said: „Thanks to the new management supporting system we will be able to realize better our mission, which consists in supplying our customers with high quality water and collection and treatment of sewage at the lowest possible costs. We chose an offer of the supplier with immense experience in complex IT projects, which, in our opinion, is a guarantee of success of this strategic project.”.
„The decision of Aquanet to implement SAP proves that Polish public sector institutions are ready to accept the best IT solutions, which so far have been used mainly by commercial companies. We are proud to have been chosen as implementation partner by a company of such special importance to the region from which BCC derives” – says Bartłomiej Buszczak, President of the Management Board of BCC.
