Since April the employees of Czech unit of Antalis have been using SAP. Thus the largest international SAP project so far conducted by a Polish implementation company has finished successfully.
The twenty-month implementation was the responsibility of BCC, which coordinated all the works in four units of Antalis, the largest European paper distributor: in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania.
The project was aimed at implementing best management practices in all the units and standardizing business and reporting processes. Based on corporate SAP solution, it covered the key areas of company's operations, such as: financial accounting (FI), fixed assets (FI-AA), treasury (TR), controlling (CO), materials management (MM), sales and distribution (SD) and production planning elements (PP). An integral part of the implemented corporate solution are external systems connected with SAP which support warehouse management, transportation planning, data warehouse and CRM system.
The scope of BCC's works, started in September 2005, included co-creating the concept of the target IT solution based on corporate model with regard for specific conditions of national units, also separate legal regulations characteristic for them. BCC’s consultants also executed configuration, tests, programming works, supervised preparation of master data.
The first in the region to start using SAP was the Lithuanian unit of Antalis – in November 2006. Next productive start was in December 2006 in Poland, then in March 2007 Antalis in Slovakia started using it, and finally at the beginning of April – the Czech unit.
